I heard his words. My lips twitched but no sound came out. He once again smiled at me with that knowing smile. One that understood that, Perhaps, I knew something more than the average person.
“The closer I got to you the more I realized that I knew who you were.” His smile bright and beautiful. “You are the missing Celestial Princess.” He turned to look out the big window we were near. “While she is still a sight to behold, she has never been as bright and beautiful since you went missing years ago. I remember stories saying that when the moon dimmed the gods went to check and your palace was empty. It looked as if a scuffled had taken place and you were gone.”
He took a step towards me and reached a hand out as if to caress my face or hair. I stepped back. Withdrawing his hands he clasped them together and let them fall to the middle of his waist. He smiled that knowing smile again. “Now that I have found you, I will let the other gods know so that you can take your rightful place.”
He turned and left, and when I was out of his aura I staggered to the side and leaned against a piece of furniture. After I caught my breath I thought, ‘what hubris to think I am the missing Celestial Princess’.
I snorted in derision and said “I wonder how many other women he has said that to to get his way.” But I didn’t stick around to find out. I turned and ran. I didn’t want to ever meet him again.
No one was prepared.
No one was prepared. Everyone thought they knew what the devil looked like. It was in all the books. Black or red skin, two curved horns on his head, red eyes that exuded evil.
A tall man with hair blacker than the darkest night and eyes bluer than a summer sky approached me. He was so handsome he made your heart ache, so beautiful that it brought tears to your eyes. Every one watched him.
He was walking towards me with a purpose. As he approached, I felt his aura. My chest tightened, my loins quickened. I stood frozen.
He stopped five feet from me and his right arm crossed his stomach and he gave a regal bow. When he stood straight again the smile he gave me made my knees weak.
He held his hand out for me to take. “Lucifer” the sound dripping with seduction. “Lucifer Morningstar.”
My eyes left his gaze to look at his outstretched hand then back up to those mesmerizing pools of Azure. Yet I made no move to touch him, He pulled back his hand after a moment with a knowing smile on his face.
“I saw you across the room and had to come see you. You seem so familiar, like we’ve met before. May I know your name?”
